My answer: roughly half of people who experience military sexual trauma carry a history of pre-service sexual victimization. Half had already survived it once. As a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, I kept hearing the same thing from survivors. This was not their first time. So I worked through fourteen studies on sexual revictimization during U.S. military service.
